Information Services
An extensive selection of information services is available for individual or complete shipment management:
Trade Automation Service offers the industry's most comprehensive trade and customs information for: duties and tax estimates; product codes and compliance; trade regulations and restricted parties. Alternatively, you can always contact Customer Service or your local Sales Executive.
- Proactive delivery notification via various channels such as e-mail, SMS, fax and phone
- On-line tracking or advanced tracking and reporting tools to monitor your shipments
- Advice on customs regulations and documentation.

DHL offers a range of non-standard import and export clearance and handling services. This is particularly useful when sending high-value or multi-content shipments that require special paperwork or handling.
Dangerous Goods
For express shipments, DHL is certified in certain classes of Dangerous Goods in accordance with IATA regulations.

DHL offers flexible billing and payment options for transport charges, duties and taxes. This flexibility gives you the freedom to bill the sender, receiver or a third party.
Insurance
On top of the standard DHL liability, we provide shipper's interest insurance services that offers our customers financial protection against all risks of physical loss or damage from any external cause.
Packaging
DHL offers three types of packaging solutions:
- A free of charge standard Packaging range that consists of DHL flyers, bags and document envelopes
- A payable Packaging range that consists of premium quality DHL cartons and boxes, meeting shipping requirements for many different sizes and shapes
- Temperature Controlled Packaging and Diagnostic Specimen Shippers, designed for specialist shipping requirements
Collect on Delivery
DHL's Collect service is a convenient way to collect and remit funds from your customers. DHL will collect a money order, company check, cashier?s check, or personal check, as specified by the shipper, upon making delivery.
Hub Induction
DHL's Hub Induction service allows you to transport your packages to any of our regional sort hubs. You can use your own transportation to deliver your shipments to either an origin hub near you or to a destination hub closer to your recipient.
Hold at DHL facility
Sometimes it's easier to have your recipient pick up a package directly at their local DHL terminal. Simply select this option when creating your waybill
Pick Up and Return on Demand
Need to ship from locations other than your own? DHL's Pickup and Return on Demand (PROD) service coordinates the shipments for you. You can place individual pickup and return requests via phone or EDI. DHL will arrive at your customer's location with a pre-printed label and pickup the package.
Signature Service
DHL will obtain an in-person signature from someone at the delivery address. A signed Attempted Delivery Notice and Signature on File are not valid for this service.
Waybill Preparation
Need help with your paperwork? DHL can complete the forms to accompany your domestic shipment at an additional charge.
